Klöhauschen video installation

Klöhauschen video installation

In collaboration with Klohäuschen has an installation with an video work exploring the fields of tight spaces “ Breathe in and Breathe out “ been created.

During daylight you will see an insignificant change at the door to the urinal.

With a closer look you will see that it is covered with a see through familiar plastic structure; bubble wrap. There are peepholes which invite you to come closer crossing the boundaries as a voyeur into an intimate space covered in layers and layers of bubble wrap, at the same time covering and yet letting you see the familiar structure behind.

Inside if you listen carefully you will hear a subtle claustrophobic and hypnotic struggling breathing sound filling the space.

As night falls the installation gets stronger and more visible to the eyes. As the night falls the space comes alive.

Using the well known, everyday material bubble wrap is vital in this work. It acts as a key object in the video performed and therefore most importantly it unfolds as an object into the surrounding space and thus including the existing space into the existing artwork tying them together in a "joint third" a piece which can and will only exists while the installation is shown at Klohäuschen.
