A two-month site-specific project exploring identity, cultural inheritance, and intimate encounters. The work unfolded across multiple formats: video projections illuminating the tower and reaching out into Copenhagen's urban landscape, video installations placed in synergy with the tower's unique structure, spoken word, and performance one to one, an intimate interaction with visitors.
RASM is Urdu for ritual. org is short for original. RorgASM is a fusion of the artist's cultural origins creating a text-based work.
Opening on International Women's Day:
What does such a significant day mean for a woman who grew up with multiple cultures' views on women, simultaneously in the midst of 1970s Denmark? Does liberation feel different when the starting point is multicultural, or are the secret rooms, the female rituals, the intimate thoughts, and the stories without sender — ancient forms with the purpose of creating relations — the same everywhere?
